Species Crocus Flower Bulbs

Specie crocuses, including Crocus tommasinianus, Crocus chrysanthus, and Crocus sieberi, are smaller, early-flowering varieties that bring vibrant color to gardens just as winter fades. Unlike large-flowering crocuses, these species feature dainty, goblet-shaped blooms in shades of purple, yellow, white, and bi-colors, often with striped or veined petals for added visual interest.

Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, specie crocuses are deer-resistant, drought-tolerant, and naturalize easily, making them ideal for rock gardens, woodland plantings, and grassy areas. Their grass-like foliage remains attractive after flowering, and they provide essential nectar for early pollinators, supporting bees and other beneficial insects.
