Amaryllis Dutch 'Samba'

Amaryllis

Amaryllis 'Samba' reaches 18 to 24 inches tall, featuring 7 inch slightly ruffled blooms in bold red with a crisp white star at the center and white-tipped petals. Each jumbo-sized bulb (36/+) produces two to three thick stalks, with four to six flowers per stem, blooming 8 to 12 weeks after planting.

Note: Unlike Southern Hemisphere-grown amaryllis, Dutch bulbs do not bloom in time for Christmas—flowering instead from January through March.
