Caladium Fancy Leaf 'Red Flash' (Ships in Spring)

Caladium

Caladium 'Red Flash' is a bold, fancy-leaf variety with large, heart-shaped olive-green leaves adorned with brilliant red veining and pink freckles. More sun-tolerant than many caladiums, it thrives in partial shade to full shade and prefers humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil. Growing up to 24–36 inches tall, it makes a dramatic statement in shaded borders, containers, and indoor settings. In colder climates, tubers should be lifted and stored indoors before winter to ensure a fresh display the following season.

Soil: Loose, well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5–6.5) enriched with compost or peat moss.
Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Avoid letting it dry out completely.

Pruning: Remove yellowing leaves and spent foliage to maintain appearance.
Pest & Disease: Watch for fungal issues, mealybugs, and aphids. Ensure good air circulation and avoid overhead watering.
