Growing and Maintenance Tips for Coreopsis Moonbeam (Ships in Spring)

Planting: Plant in early spring or fall, setting the crown level with the soil surface. Space plants 18 to 24 inches apart to allow for air circulation.
Location: Thrives in full sun (6–8 hours daily). Tolerates partial shade in hot climates but may bloom less.
Soil: Prefers well-drained, loamy soil. Tolerates clay and a wide pH range (6.0–7.0) if drainage is good.
Watering: Water weekly until established. Once mature, it’s drought-tolerant—water only during prolonged dry spells.
Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 3–9. Tolerates heat and humidity well.
Fertilization: Not usually necessary. Over-fertilizing can reduce flowering—compost in spring is sufficient.
Pruning: Deadhead spent blooms to encourage reblooming. Cut back in late fall or early spring to tidy the plant.
Propagation: Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in spring or fall to maintain vigor.
Pest & Disease: Generally pest-free and deer-resistant. Good air circulation helps prevent mildew.
