I have worked with A.D.R. Bulbs for almost 5 years now, and my company has sourced bulbs with them for longer than that. Communication is great - from ordering, to deliveries, to follow-ups on final product. I love the quality of the product as well as the service. We plant nearly 100,000 bulbs and A.D.R. keeps the whole process easy for us!

Dahlia 'Rocco' is a pompon variety with small, perfectly rounded blooms in a rich purple hue. The flowers, reaching about 2 inches across, are densely packed with inward-curving petals, creating a charming, button-like effect. Growing on the shorter side, it thrives in full sun with well-drained soil, making it excellent for cutting gardens and compact spaces. Blooming from midsummer until frost, it provides a steady display of vibrant color. Hardy in USDA zones 8 to 11.

Planting: In spring, plant tubers 3 to 4 inches deep with the eye facing up, once soil has warmed to at least 60°F. Space 18 to 24 inches apart to accommodate their bushy habit and ensure good airflow.
Location: Full sun (6–8 hours daily) is ideal. In hot climates, light afternoon shade helps prevent stress.
Soil: Well-drained, fertile loam with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Enrich with compost or aged manure before planting.
Watering: Water deeply once or twice a week, keeping soil evenly moist but not soggy. Avoid watering until shoots emerge to prevent rot.
Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 8–10. In colder zones, lift tubers after frost and store in a cool, dry place.
Fertilization: Feed monthly with a balanced or low-nitrogen fertilizer. Overfeeding nitrogen can reduce bloom quality.
Pruning: Pinch back when plants reach 12 inches tall to encourage branching. Deadhead regularly to promote continuous bloom.
Pest & Disease: Watch for aphids, slugs, and powdery mildew. Ensure good air circulation and avoid overhead watering.
Propagation: Divide tubers in spring, ensuring each has at least one viable eye.
