Through the years I've tried just about everyone for bulbs but A.D.R. is tops. It's a family run business and the service levels and expertise are as good as the product they sell. My clients rave about the results we get with A.D.R. and that makes me happy.

Lilium OT Hybrid 'Mister Cas' (Ships in Spring)

Lily

Lilium 'Mister Cas' is a fragrant Orienpet hybrid featuring creamy-white blooms with rich golden centers and fine elongated spots. The pendant, down-facing flowers resemble the classic Aurelian variety 'White Henryi' but benefit from stronger stems and improved substance, making them a better choice for challenging gardens. Blooming in late July to early August, this variety grows 3 to 4 feet tall and thrives in full sun to part shade with rich, well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA zones 5 to 9, it requires winter mulching in colder climates.

Growing and Maintenance Tips for Lilium OT Hybrid 'Mister Cas' (Ships in Spring)

Planting: Plant bulbs in spring or fall, 6 to 8 inches deep and 8 to 12 inches apart. Set with the flat side down and the pointed tip up. These hybrids prefer to stay in place long-term, so choose a permanent spot.
Location: Full sun to light shade. In hot climates, provide afternoon shade to protect blooms and foliage.
Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Enrich with compost and ensure excellent drainage—OT lilies dislike soggy roots.
Watering: Water deeply after planting. During the growing season, keep soil evenly moist but not wet. Reduce watering after flowering.
Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 4–9. In colder zones, mulch in late fall to protect emerging shoots from spring frost.
Fertilization: Apply a balanced fertilizer when shoots emerge and again at bud formation. A slow-release formula works well.
Pruning: Deadhead spent blooms to direct energy back to the bulb. Allow foliage to yellow and die back naturally before removing.
Staking: Tall stems (often 4–6 feet) may need staking in windy areas. Insert supports early to avoid damaging roots.
Propagation: Divide clumps every 3 to 5 years in fall. Replant immediately or store bulbs in a cool, dry place.
Pest & Disease: Generally pest-free. Good air circulation helps prevent fungal issues. Watch for slugs and lily beetles.
