Banja Luka is a vibrant Darwin Hybrid Tulip, featuring large, cup-shaped blooms with bright yellow petals streaked with deep red. Its sturdy stems reach approximately 20 to 24 inches in height, supporting flowers that can span up to 6 inches across when fully open. Blooming in mid to late spring, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings, and cut arrangements.
Banja Luka was introduced in 1974. It was developed through the crossing of the classic Apeldoorn and Golden Apeldoorn cultivars, resulting in its signature bold yellow petals streaked with fiery red flames.
